Sandra Bryant - Painter
Sandra Bryant discovered she could paint at the age of eight and painting has been a compulsion ever since. She draws inspiration from the world around her – visible and invisible. A rural scene, on closer inspection is teeming with life. Characters that present themselves in period costumes emerge from trees and meadows. On closer inspection, the manner of their dress alludes to a multitude of timelines. Victorians, Mexican Day of the Dead and contemporary figures go about their daily life, against a backdrop of West Country houses, mill towns and post-industrial vistas. She calls these characters the storytellers. The stories they tell are left to the individual observer.
